Setur Marinas hosted the 24th International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championship in Kaş as the main supporter

Setur Marinas, the prominent chain business in the marina sector, welcomed hundreds of sportsmen to the AquaChallenge Swimming Championship’s opening stage in Kaş, where they are the main supporters.

Setur Marinas continues to contribute as the main supporter of the 24th International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championship which is the most comprehensive swimming competition in the Mediterannean Gulf. For the first time, Kaş has been chosen as the opening location for the 24th International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championship which took place between 23-25 May 2025. Setur Marinas hosted this competition where hundreds of sportsmen swam.

The “Setur Marinas Open Water Swimming Competition of 10K” which is one of the most exciting stages of the competition started with Ahmet Ertürk’s (MarinaManager of the Setur Marinas Kaş) signal. At the time of the start, Selçuk Demirel (Chairman of the AquaChallenge Board), Ahmet Yunus Yiğit (District Director of Youth and Sports of Kaş), and Ergün Kayalı (Harbour Master of Kaş) were present. Sportsmen competed against each other in the parkour which was surrounded by Kaş’s impressive natural beauties to obtain the highest rankings. During the awards ceremony after the competition, Ahmet Ertürk presented the medals to the sportsmen who ranked the highest.

The 24th International Arena AquaChallenge Swimming Championship illustrated the importance of sports for intercultural interaction. Joep Wijnands (Dutch Ambassador) who was also a licensed sportsman himself, supported the competition and did not leave the sportsmen alone during the awards ceremony. Pernille Blume who is the Danish Olympic Champion attended the championship as the guest of honor. Blume commented that it was her first time experiencing swimming in the open sea in Kaş.
