The "8th Aegean Yacht Rally" organized by Setur Marinas was finished...

Participants of the 8th Aegean Yacht Rally attended by 30 boats anchored at Setur Kaş Marina as of August 5th. Having navigated for 31 hours, the sailors covered 190 nautical miles. Having been organized by Setur Marinas, once in every two years since 2000 the "8th Aegean Yacht Rally" took place this year between 23 July 2018 - 5 August 2018. While the opening ceremony of the 8th Aegean Yacht Rally was organized at Bodrum Marina, its closing ceremony was organized at Setur Kaş Marina after having covered 190 miles. In his closing speech, after having saluted the sponsors of the organization, namely Aygaz, Beko, Eastmarine, Edwards, Ford, Opet, and Tüpraş, as well as the Meis Exclusive Hotel, which hosted the yachtsmen at the last stop of the route, Emre Doruk, General Manager of Setur Marinas, said, "the Aegean Yacht Rally, which was run by the participation of 30 yachts, and instilled in us the excitement of setting sail to the sea for the 8th time this year, ended at Kaş Marina. The rally covered approximately 190 nautical miles throughout 31 hours of navigation. As Setur Marina, we joyfully carried out this organization, which has a social and cultural dimension, in order to contribute to Turkish tourism as well as adding to the knowledge and experience of the participants." Indicating that the Aegean Yacht Rally plays an important role in providing amateur souls with experience in high seas and fleet sailing, Rally Commodore Necati ZİNCİRKIRAN said that the rallies lend courage to yachters, allowing them to sail safely on high seas. Led by Commodore Necati Zincirkıran, and started at Bodrum Milta Marina, the route was run by 30 yachts throughout successively Kos, Kalymnos, Nsyros, Symi, Rhodes and Meis, and the rally ended at Setur Kaş Marina. Thanks to the support lent by the sponsor brands, the 8th Aegean Yacht Rally not only strengthened the Turkish-Greek friendship, but also brought sea-lovers together, while contributing to the development of amateur yachting.
